Our first visit, was sceptical at first as the price was very reasonable! But our accommodation, Garden View, was lovely, everything you needed, with a great view of the gardens! Based in the old manor house. Good quality bedding, towels, kitchen . Everything was very clean. The apartment was on the first floor which is accessed by metal steps then another set of stairs inside. The site is well maintained with lots of work going on. Beautiful surroundings with several fishing lakes. The receptionists were so helpful, we were arriving late so they rang before they finished and rang the next morning to check all was ok. There is a small shop, swimming pool, restaurant, bar and entertainment. The prices were all very reasonable, the food was ok. Being very rural there's not many options of places to eat. But it was a big portion but quite Wetherspoons style. We ate there twice and each time the order was wrong, but it was rectified very quickly! Staff are all very friendly. Even though it's rural it's not far from Bude 20mins, St Austell, Truro etc. We will be visiting again!
Lovely place to be on Holiday. Hengar Manor country park. There is a fishing lake, a little park, Some entertainment, a swimming pool but you need to book a slot and are only in the water about 35 to 40 minutes depending on how long it takes to get ready to get in with little ones etc.. You can buy a swim nappy at reception. The food in the restaurant is was good and was served in a timely manor. There's a shop on site and a little amusement arcade. You could hire the bikes that fit 4 people in and ride round the country park. The accommodation Is really nice, we enjoyed our stay.
This was a trip in March when the site was fairly quiet. We stayed in a cottage which was really well laid out for self catering and was comfortable. The staff are really helpful and pleasant, my significant other needs a lot of help to make choices and I was impressed by the patience and willingness to help of the bar staff. We used the restaurant once which was handy the day we arrived, the site is lovely and well located for exploring both the North and South coasts. There seems to have been some upgrading on the site which works really well, they deserve to do well. Recommended.
Lovely place to stay. Nice walks and fishing lakes. Prices for food and drink not a bad price. Lady in the shop very helpful and goesthat extra mile to help
Great little site currently on our second stay at the moment. Food is excellent at the pub. grounds are maintained beautifully. Entertainment is great for the kids and the refurb is brilliant. Staff are friendly and welcoming great with the kids.
Lovely site, nice and peaceful. Plenty to do and is close to alot of nice places such as padstow, port issac etc. Stayed in a 3 bedroom caravan and it was spot on. Restaurant on site was great value for the money and good pub grub. Loads of wildlife to see too. All in all I would definitely recommend.
The lodges are good and clean, bed uncomfortable for me Bar was OK but poorly stocked. Food was mediocre to average, if you like chips. Make sure you take drinks and food etc there's really no where to walk to different. There was a kids club but we didn't use as no kids lol. Apart from that, if you have a car great to get to out and about in beautiful Cornwall...enjoy
Really friendly staff. Bungalow we had was clean and smelt fresh. Lots to do here, golf,crazy golf, swimming (you have to book), fishing, archery and lovely walks. It is so peaceful here.
